Our Summer Camp Program is for students entering First Grade - Fourth Grade. Rookies Camp (below) is for incoming Kindergarten and Cornerstones students.
The Allen-Stevenson Sports, STEAM/Robotics, Math Explorers, and Film Camp is a one-of-a-kind program. Our camp is explicitly created to support sportsmanship, teamwork, collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, persistence, and having fun! All activities are designed around a comprehensive program that includes Sports, Robotics, Technology, Science/Engineering, Math, and Filmmaking.

*For enrolled Allen-Stevenson students, Summer Camp tuition will be billed to your student account. Financial Aid grants apply to all camps. Non-Allen-Stevenson Students must pay at the time of registration, and no financial aid is not available.

Lunch and snack will be provided. Each camper is encouraged to bring their own water bottle.

ROOKIES SUMMER CAMP
The Allen-Stevenson School Rookies Summer Program is exclusively designed for incoming Kindergarten and Cornerstones boys. The mission of the program is to help your sons establish friendships with future classmates, familiarize themselves with the School and Kindergarten routines, build relationships with A-S teachers, and most importantly have fun while doing it. The program is staffed with Allen-Stevenson faculty and alumni. The boys will spend their day enjoying art, music, sports, and having fun!

The Rookies Camp mission is to help your sons establish friendships with future classmates, familiarize themselves with our school, build relationships with Allen-Stevenson teachers, and, most importantly, have fun while doing it. The Rookies Camp is staffed with Allen-Stevenson faculty and alumni. The boys will have a camp experience filled with art, music, sports, and trips to Central Park.
Rookies Camp runs from 8:30AM - 2:00PM
*Choose the full-day option or a combination of other camps.
It is strongly recommended that all incoming kindergarten boys participate in this program.
(8:30-12:00PM)
This nine-day math experience that will help campers develop strong problem-solving skills while engaging in creative and collaborative investigations. Using the YouCubed curriculum of Stanford University Professor, Jo Boaler, Campers will explore principles in algebraic and geometric reasoning, play with numbers, and use manipulatives to discover number patterns. Activities are designed to invite students to work both independently and collaboratively on problems that serve to ignite curiosity and deepen their number sense and mathematical conceptual understanding.
*Can choose Sports, STEAM/Robotics, and Filmmaking in the afternoon.
(Rising 1st - 2nd Graders as of 9/1/24)
Our youngest Makers have robotics, technology, science/engineering, digital arts, and STEAM classes throughout the week. In addition, this age group will also have a daily, one-hour elective session, where they can choose to work on any project that they’ve started at camp or choose from a variety of other activities.
(3rd - 4th Graders as of 9/1/24)
The middle-aged Makers have robotics, technology, science/engineering, digital arts, and STEAM classes throughout the week. This age group will also have a daily, one-hour elective session, where they can choose to work with robots, practice coding in Scratch, create a video game in virtual reality, spend time in the Tinker Space, or choose to work on a digital arts activity.
(5th- 6th Graders as of 9/1/24)
The oldest Makers have robotics, technology, science/engineering, digital arts, and STEAM class throughout the week, as well as a one-hour elective session, where they can choose to work with robots, build Estes model rockets, spend time in the Tinker Space, create a video game in virtual reality or choose to work on a digital arts activity.
Slate Film Center
(12:30-3:00PM)
Exploration in Film- with new subjects every day, from Light Painting, Music Video Production, Animation, Sound Design, and many more! This is a wonderful way to expand a student’s creativity and world.
