3rd Grade Learner Pathway
At Allen-Stevenson, third-grade boys are enthusiastic learners. They are eager to engage deeply in both the process and product of their learning.
Third Grade is a year when boys’ intellectual curiosity expands as they begin to better understand the world beyond themselves, which motivates them to try new things. Boys grow a sense of moral responsibility and start to ask questions about equity and justice both in peer relationships and the wider community.
Allen-Stevenson provides these boys with multiple opportunities for group collaboration and self-reflection, which leads to deepening their learning. They become inspired by each other as they hear and understand perspectives besides their own.
